Dumb It Down!

Have you ever asked yourself, "Who controls whats put out into the media?" Who made the messages of drugs, degrading women, and materialistism popular? Who made that an unknown person can suddenly be thrown into the limelight, because he/she made a dance song? Did you decide what you wanted, or did the powers who control the media industry decide this?

Why is it that a dance song can get extensive radio play, but when a artist wants to promote a message that might be considered controversial, the label who that artist is under tells them to take it off the the album, or else that artist would lose their promotion funding?

"Hip-Hop" artist are busy talking about money, clothes, cars, and the mistreating women, when you have wars that's greatly affecting many. You have worldwide poverty, famine, and utter calamity. Yet, we are too busy doing the "Stanky Leg" or "The Franky," but it seems no one is being frank with us, the listeners. Their is a popular image that is created, that says " If you want to be rich, then make a dance song. If you want to make some money, then rap like Lil' Wayne. He's successful. You can be just like him, if you do this."

Many young people have their minds so wrapped in to this message, that they couldn't tell you what's going on in the world. Rap and R&B artists could talks about such things like the war, but that is not what sells. Getting money at any cost despite who you may run over in the process is the order of the day. So the masses have been "dumbed down" to what is really going on in society. But if you were to ask about Chris Brown and Rihanna, then you could get engaged in a intense debate about something that really has no importance.

Good music and a good message is still out there; it's just not being played on the radio or on television, because the same people who control the message in the music industry, television industry, and media in general want to keep you from asking to many questions, so they keep your mind on frivolous things. Because the more you ask questions, the more you find out. And you not knowing the truth is the only way that thier plans and dealings can be successful.

I'm Your Pusherman...The Final Call that is!

The other day, which was Monday, I experienced, for the first time, being able to go out into the nieghborhood and "push" the Final Call newspaper. If you dont know what the Final Call is, then let me take this oppurtunity to "push" or introduce to you the World's No. 1 Newspaper. The Final Call Newspaper is the official paper of the Nation of Islam, which is founded and published by the Nation Representative of the Nation of Islam, The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.

When Master Fard Muhammad, the long-awaited Messiah of the Christians, and the Madhi of the Muslims, came to America, he would go to the doors of "Black Bottom Detroit", and introduce himself as their brother, from the East, bringing silk. I use this example, because it is a perfect example of what the Fruit of Islam's intentions are when we go door-to-door, or go out on the street corner to distribute the Final Call newspaper. We come as a brother to a family member that has been lost, and now is found, carrying silk, or, in other words, very valuable material. This material, which is the truth, is what we will use in order to resurrect our people from their "Black Bottom." As it says in the Bible, we come to resurrect the dead. Not the physically dead, but a mentally dead people who have lost the knowledge of themselves as the original people of this Earth, and who have lost the knowledge of Allah(God). These are the people who are the chosen of God.

My Momma Always Said...

In the Holy Qu'ran and in the Bible, it talks about how a civilization goes on the beliefs and ideas of their ancestors, even if counter-arguments come from God that are logical and true. The people disbelieve, because it is not what they are use to. Black people all over the Earth, but especially in America, have been taught a "slavery teaching", that goes under the name of Christianity. They have been taught to love their enemy no matter how unjustly their enemy treats them. Slaves were forbidden to read the Bible, also known as the "poison book." Then when we were allowed to read the Bible, it had been altered in such a way that would keep us in slavery. Not necessarily a physical bondage, but it would keep us in more of a mental bondage.

We did not question these teachings, no matter how far out they seemed. Even knowing that it was from a man who put us through the worst treatment any people on the face of this earth had to endure, we still did not question them. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad once asked, “If someone won't treat you right, then how can you expect them to teach you right?" Judging on how bad we are being mistreated, that should tell you how bad we are being taught. Then we refuse to question are teaching? You have been told not to question God, but in the Bible, Matthew 7:7, Jesus says, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." What you have taught been contradicts the book it is based on. If God is all-knowing, then why would he refuse to be questioned? He wants to give you knowledge. Hosea 4:6 states, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge," and John 8:32 says, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." All this says is that God does not want you to be ignorant. He wants you to have the knowledge of Him and the knowledge of self. The more you know of God and self, the more of a god you will become, because "ye are all gods, children of the Most High God."
